0:39 What are you focusing on? What are your pain points right now?

2:50 Newness and change can be a good thing! However, It can take up a lot of time to adjust and get what you used to be able to get done much faster. Here is a little exercise to do: Take something that is pretty light to hold - a notebook, phone, stapler, etc. Hold it at arm's length away from you for five minutes. At first, it's pretty easy, but after a few minutes suddenly the object feels as if it has gotten so much heavier.

9:38 Little tasks, juggling them can become impossible. Is your brain full? You have to choose ones that are meaningful. What are some ways you can get those meaningless tasks off of your shoulders?

12:55 Ways to alleviate the mind overflow and distractions

Delegate, who can help you? Maybe you need to find friends to carpool your kids to school or switch back and forth with your spouse.
Some things you just need to cut out. Any games on your phone that take up time from something more important you should be doing. What are some of these?
Write it down! We can't remember everything and lists can come in handy. Sometimes your brain just gets full and then you start forgetting more important things to do.
18:00 Getting Things Done - David Allen

23:05 Evaluate everything you are doing! What is the exchange rate for the things you do? Is it worth it? If you need to do it what is the BEST way you can do it?

26:05 What is something that you have been avoiding but know you NEED to do

Then other times we do the little things to avoid the big tasks we need to do. What are some of the things we know we need to do and aren't? Getting into shape? Working on our talents?

30:18 The hero cycle: "is the common template of a broad category of tales and lore that involves a hero who goes on an adventure, and in a decisive crisis wins a victory, and then comes home changed or transformed." Each one of us is going through this cycle in one way or another right now.

"The things that make a really great book, also usually make a really great life."

34:25 What does crossing the threshold in our life look like? Are you avoiding this?

38:58 You return to the "normal" world changed! You bring something back to share with the world!

43:20 There are many steps along the way and often we stop and it leads to self-sabotage. We have this great goal, this journey ahead of us but why do we stop midway - right before our brilliant transformation happens? Don't be intimidated when you are faced with villains on the way, you are your own hero!

43:50 The 'death' part of the hero cycle is a representation of the old character becoming the new one. For us, it is the same thing, what old parts of us must die to become reborn?

Are we too judgemental?
Do we stay in our comfort zone too much?
Purposely avoid hard-growing experiences?
46:20 Where are you on the hero's journey as a whole? Crossing the Rubicon - conquer or perish!

48:50 What MUST we do to continue progressing on our own personal hero's journey?

56:40 After 'death' we come back and conquer! We must boldly commit to our quest for excellence. If you settle, you end up being mediocre. Success is defined as a place where you have fought to be satisfied with more than you had before. Decide to Rise.

59:00 Our hero cycle must go on! You are the protagonist in your own story, keep fighting!
